e-Textiles Workshop - Belk Library
Date and time
Location
Belk Library and Information Commons
Room 028Description
Come learn about wearable electronics at the Belk Library! Using LilyTiny Arduino, we will create projects with LED lights and conductive thread. No experience necessary; we will teach you about circuity, give a brief lesson on the basics of sewing, and then have time for creating your garment. All you need to bring is a piece of clothing, a pillow, a felt bookmark, or any other fabric object that you would like to enhance with LED lights. We will provide each participant with a LilyTiny, battery pack, conductive thread, and LED lights. All of this will be free to take home with you! This is a perfect workshop for Halloween, or to just explore the world of e-Textiles. We only have a limited number of materials, so sign up before the spots are gone! This event is open to all students at Appalachian State University.
If you sign up, but are unable to make it to the event, let Hannah Pope know as soon as possible so that another person is able to take that spot. Her email is: popehl@appstate.edu
We hope you join us!
